Another phone that does all of the same things that phones from 3 years ago still do perfectly well only faster on paper. Yawn...

So is this going to be made by LG, or Huawei?

The smaller 5 is still by LG, the 6 will be Huawei, replacing the Moto.

2700mAh is a bit disappointing, but it does 'only' have a 1080p screen, and android M is supposed to significantly improve standby battery life over Lollipop.
If it has a good camera and it's under 500, this will definitely be the phone to replace my old Nexus 4.

edit: I also hope the 16/32GB is a mistake... should be 32/64.

This new variation offers next to nothing over the LG G2. I bet it even uses the exact same screen. It is more like LG G2 version 2.0 with smaller battery, two tone flash and laser focus.

It has a better CPU/GPU and more RAM. Also front facing speakers is a big plus. Hopefully has a better camera too.

Yeah, I find the speakers on my G2 pretty friggin' weak, to the point where I wasn't sure if mine wasn't defective.

Sadly it's going to be 16/32 GB.

AP's spec release is 90% accurate. After a bit of bitch' and moanin' I will end up getting one.

Need to update from N5 badly.

Badly? What's so bad about N5 (I use one)?

for me, my N5 is starting to have random shut downs and unstable battery readings; try wiping, flashing different roms, but nothing worked

ordered a battery replacement and see if it fixes things

I have a Nexus 4, but if I would upgrade I would definitely go for the Asus zenforce 2. Dual SIM is just awesome.

Did some readings and apparently Android M most likely will be available for Nexus 4 too so no need to do any upgrades.

The benefits of having dual sim are somewhat mitigated by the fact that one sim will be restricted to 2G only, which means it can only be used with Rogers and subbrands and voice/text only. And the other sim will only get LTE on Rogers, and some concentrated pockets here and there on Bell.

i thought about the zenfone as well but the battery and camera isnt that big of a jump from N5, which makes the moto x play attractive and i wonder how the new N5 competes

im sure for your N4, the zenfone is a worthy upgrade

Honestly N5 is still a solid phone. With the upcoming Android M it will definitely be a different experience all together but the battery is deteriorating on mine and I have been meaning to upgrade a phone for some time now at a reasonable price.

I mainly like it because of the dual SIM. One SIM I can use my data only SIM, the other I can use to talk during important calls using Speakout.
