LG progressive scan dvd player sending audio only
So I had to change the language on a new DVD recently. While in the menu, I noticed taht there was also an option for progressive scan. Since my LG DVD player has progressive scan, I figur I may as well turn it on. As soon as I did it, the video signal was lost and "No Video Signal" was displayed on my TV. And, of course, I can't get back in to the menu to turn progressive scan off because I can't see nothing. Anybody know how to reset it?

Try hooking it up via composite video, unplugging any other video outputs from the player.

What's the model number of your player? Try pressing RES button on the front panel of DVD until it goes to 480i.

It's an older model DV7732NSC and there is no RES button. I'd rather not replace it until the price of Blu Ray comes down.

I did the exact same thing on a dvd player one time, it will only output the video through the component. I phoned a friend who had the same brand and navigated blindly though the menus to turn it back. They must have a backup battery, maybe if you unplug it overnight it might reset ?

On the player, try holding the power button for ten seconds or the stop button for the same. It should be a button on the unit, so just push each button for 10 seconds and you should find it hopefully.
