Just picked up a 7300 from Best Buy Heartland.

Did a reserve and pick up in store late last night.

Congrats.

Please report back on your experiences after calibration. We aren't getting the Lambos of the monitor world, but the experience is pretty enjoyable for productivity, media, and casual gaming.

Good luck!

I waited way too long to use this screen split software in 2x2. Windows corner docking doesn't work nearly as well as this free LG screen splitting app.

It's unquestionably like operating (4x) 21.5" monitors in this mode. It kills it for productivity.

Much cleaner way to access multiple workspaces.

Are any of you experiencing temporary image persistence with your UM7300 as a 4K monitor? Here is the article on reddit regarding the image persistence on the UM7300: https://www.reddit.com/r/4kTV/comments/ ... tiple_tvs/
Burn-in is not a thing on these panels. Excessive image persistence arising from improper binning of panels is possible. This was a decreasing problem on the 2016 to 2018 Samsung panels, which your reddit OP falls within with his 2016 VA panel.

If you find this to be a serious issue on your LG UM7300, return your panel for a replacement. If you're judging all midtier IPS panels this way, then the higher image latency on most IPS panels may not work for you.

Both the Samsung and LG 2018 panels suffered from only minimal image latency on their typical panels, if the odd one is performing unusually badly even after calibration, it's probably a dud due for return, replacement, or RMA.

The LG UM7300 2019 IPS panel hits as low as 10ms latency, which is on par with the real world performance of midtier IPS panels (those rated at 4-5ms but performing at 10ms under common settings). The LG 2019 has amongst the lowest image latency tested on a 2019 TV, improving on the already respectable 2018 TV numbers from its predecessor.

I believe reviews from the non-specialist RFDers will provide the greatest value. Connesseurs of monitors, competitive gamers, video editors and graphic designers are advised to look elsewhere.

Target Audience: Business productivity, casual media, casual movie-watching, TV shows, casual gaming.

The title should be changed. You shouldn't use this as a monitor lol

With my credits, it's looking like I'll be able to lock in the LG 43UM7300 (2019) for only $327 + tax. If I end up buying this guy, I'll share exact monitor-friendly calibrations with the community. My 3800X build will be ready by Monday evening, so I'll have a new system to bench it on.

For those on a budget, looking for a 43" 4K TV-as-Monitor:
LG UK6090 43" 4K IPS TV (2018) [Same panel as UK6300]
>> Starting @ $309 (Amazon Warehouse) <<

In my experience, 'Acceptable' condition means the original OEM packaging was damaged and is being re-shipping in non-OEM boxing. In rare occasions, I've seen 'Acceptable' products have virtually unnoticeable scratches in out-of-sight areas (e.g. on the back of the panel).

Ordered, arriving Thursday.

I'll be the @aasoror of this panel, answering questions, providing guidance, issuing calibration guides, etc.

The only way I can do that is to own this fantastic value-for-money device.

God bless.

There's a Best Buy code "13HRSONLY" for $25 off that's good for a few more hours. Ordered it, may or may not keep the order.

You can get an additional $25 off if you order something else to get the total over $500 making it $50 off total.

Does anyone know when the discount would apply if this was ordered with a game pre-order? When the tv ships, or when the game does?

Edit: Doesn't look like this applies to games

Might be worth getting a higher-end VESA stand for the purposes of monitor or TV viewing.
