linksys router, dropping offline?
I have to keep going into my router, releasing and renewing the dhcp....
or both machines fall offline (even the one wired).
I did the latest firmware.....
WRT54G
Sometimes its an hour, sometimes its minutes... but both go offline, and will not come back on until I release and renew in status....
it sucks, any input appreciated_______________

What revision do you have?
I had the same problem with a rev 6 and I just flashed the DD-WRT Micro and it seems to be better.

Here's a link to the dd-wrt micro f/w.
http://www.bitsum.com/openwiking/owb...?WRT54G5%5FCFE
This will void your warranty though if you brick it during the process so use at your own risk!
It also unlocks many features which are normally locked w/ the linksys firmware.
