Linksys wrt54g v5 Bittorrent Problem

Hi ppl, I Have a Linksys WRT54G Version5. I flashed the firmware to DD-WRT.

even though i did it the problem still persists.

At first when i used the router, Utorrent(or any BT client) worked fine. but after a while Utorrent said the port, that worked all along, was blocked. So i thought the firmware was crap so i flashed it to DD-WRT.

but now its DD-WRT and its the same thing. I forwarded the port 1720 for BT on my firewall and router. heck, i even DMZed my computer and it still said the port is not Open in Utorrent. It was perfectly fine before, i dont know what went wrong. I heard you can flood the router with the large logs of connections due to BT... but isnt there some way of erasing it? maybe a startup script?

Can someone please help me out? I heard of putting a Start up script but i couldnt find one anywhere and I dont know what it can do to solve my problem..

1720 is blocked by your ISP.
Set the port to 51720 in your BT client and make sure you open and forward it in your firewall.

Turn on Transport Encryption as well and use RC4. ISPs like Rogers are using sniffers to block out BT packets despite port numbers..

How do i turn on Transport Encryption(I turned on encryption in Utorrent already) and RC4(whats this)??

port 1720 worked for me all along!!

im using SHAW cable in Vancouver, BC.

would it help if i disabled the SPI Firewall?

I tried switching my ports in Utorrent, Router, and Firewall to 51720 but it still says the same thing as the 2nd picture in my first post!!

How about a netstat -l?
I guess ur sure that ZoneAlarm is letting Utorrent act as a Server?

Why dont ya just turn on UPNP? When uTorrent needs the port to be opened, it will do it on its own

ok guys i just figured out wtf was going on.

apparently, this is my connection WITH the problem:

Modem - VOIP Modem - Router - Computer

i just took out the VOIP modem and did this:

Modem - Router - Computer

and voila, no more problems, the port works, and green arrow in Utorrent.

BUT the thing is... my VOIP modem wont connect anymore!!!!!!!!!!

THis is the connections right now:

Modem - Router - Computer/VOIP Modem(these plugged into the Wired LAN ports at the back of the router)

So... now my VOIP modem wont connect to the net b/c the router is blocking it!! FUK!!!! is there a port or feature in the Router(DD-WRT firmware) that i can enable so the VOIP modem will work?

The VOIP is CITI VOIP used to dial to Hong Kong numbers and other VOIP phones with Hong Kong numbers. The modem is a Nortel Netoworks Modem.

Before, this connection: modem - VOIP modem - router - computer, would work with VOIP but not Bittorrent.. now its the other way around!

ok guys, i thought the router would act the same as before(Not let my VOIP router connect), but since i flashed the firmware to DD-WRT, IT WORKS!!!! so everything works now and thanks for everyone's responses!
