Liquor stores seems like they are pretty good investments. What are some of the draw backs? I hear they get robbed very often but profit margins are pretty good...

Not sure what Province you are in, but in Ontario, they are run by the government mafia. You can not own a liquor store here.

Your other post inquires about food trucks, and now Liquor Stores. Seems like you're really not specifically focused on anything at this time.
Alberta stores may be privatized but the government still gets their share. In general, most of the industry is run by a few major corporations that can issue franchises, but for the most part, it's a hard industry to succeed in. Primarily because there's one on every corner already.
You need to understand the importing laws, taxes, government regulations, be willing to work very long hours (Alberta stores are often something like 10am - 2am, 7 days/wk), etc. In all honesty as far as succeeding, robbery is likely very far down the list of drawbacks.
