if anyone is looking for a cross-burn drive...i saw one @ NCIX first markham for 29 bucks. On the shelf that is underneath the PIVOS. It is the last one there and it is a revision B.
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=75736

good luck.
I got it, it was the last one and I can double confirm that it is Revision B. Thanked.
However now that I have it, I am likely going to go with the xkey haha.
I like the idea of playing the iso's straight off an external harddrive.

If anyone needs a Revision B drive (MSI DH-24AS). Let me know by PM.
I will let it go at cost.... otherwise I will just return it by next weekend.

:) your welcome.
but beware, i heard xkey is still premature, could result in bans and always require constant updates?

According to C4EVA, the xkey and all other drive emulators such as the Wasabi are easily detectable by Microsoft and can easily be turned into a door stop at almost any moment they feel.

"[2011-06-15 06:48AM UTC] #c4e <c4eva> soon:by its very nature the emulator is just that, an emulator, and can be detected very easily"

"[2011-06-15 06:50AM UTC] #c4e <Newb> ms can detect the diffrences between emulator and real and we dont know if they can detect fw"

Look on the side of the box and at the end of the model number it will have a "B" (mine says "dvd1206i-H01 B")

I love the fact you are quoting something over a year ago, and from what I read, no one with an X360Key has been banned. You do realize that C4EVA is making a crap load of money from Team Xecuter. Of course he is going to say that the X360key is detectable. They don't want to lose any business.

PM with NCIX:
http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=51355 ... ure=Liteon

DirectCanada is cheaper ($21.44):
http://www.directcanada.com/products/?s ... ure=LITEON

So that's the one for sure?
according to Team Xecuter yes it is.

Okay, I ordered it for pickup. When I pick it up in-store, is there a sticker I should look for to confirm a B drive?

Now to find deals on Verb's...

Could someone please confirm if NCIX has B drive?

I called them at Markham showroom and sales person said it is NOT rev B even though the website lists it as iHAS324-99B

I don't want to drive there if It is not rev B.

Thanks

I couldn't verify with NCIX over the phone that if they have rev B drives, so I picked up a LiteOn IHAS124-04 Rev B made in August 2011 from Canada Computers (North York) today.

I think they still have more B drive in stock, if anyone interested. but call them to confirm before you go there.

So if I am understanding correctly, you will need a new burner with updated firmware just to back-up XGD3 games correctly. You will then also need an update on your Xbox 360 Drive to read the disc? I have the Hitachi drive and according to C4Eva they are currently still testing the new firmware for these drives. Can someone confirm that I need a new burner and then new firmware update to read the discs?
