Try ScratchX if you cannot catch the scratch with your fingernail. If you are unable to get it out with ScratchX and is not deep; take it to a professional detailer to get it buffed out. If you can catch it with your fingernail; you will need to have the body panel repainted.

Post a picture of what the scratch looks like.
No need to go back to Dealership, a body shop will be able to do that for much less.
How long is the scratch? Is it dented ? Sounds like it is slightly dented if you can feel it with your fingernail.
Shop will take the body panel out, hammer out the scratched dent line, buff it out, and re-paint. It will look as good as new. No one will know (except you guys, because you know where it was scratched)
I'm guessing no more than $100. Again, depends how long it is. Post pictures please.
I can recommend a shop if you like, they fixed my Accord Bumper that was CRACKED ! I mean it, I cracked it hitting a wall in a condo (when turning up the ramp). They did such a good job, I dare anyone to try to figure out which corner on the car was cracked before.

If the scratch is not huge, you can try places like CT w/ the color code or http://www.paintscratch.com/

There are people that can fix deep scratches without painting the whole panel. Usually, requires an air brush and alot of wet sanding.

touching the scratch up with touch-up paint will just make it look worst...
if its a brand new car, should spend the $ on getting it fixed properly..
If your nail is catching the scratch, then polishing it won't help much, you'll still be able to see it. Has the scratch gone through the paint and primer?
Assuming its just a scratch and not dented..etc..
repairing it properly, you're probably looking around $5-600 for the door and blending adjacent areas.

It depends...
Some paints are really hard to match and you can end up with something much worst. If you paint the entire panel.
Also, there are some DIY ways of fixing deep scratches, that achieve near perfect results.
A picture would help.

Is it me or are those photos not in color ?? May I suggest you press the MACRO (flower) button on your camera when you get up close ? NeWays.
Here's the shop I brought 3 cars before to fix (dents, cracks and hood and side crunched up), all done exceptionally well.
Up in Markham if you don't mind going up for for a quote. Or you can email him first with some photos to get a ball park quote.

I feel for ya. I know how you feel, been there myself.
Actually, the shop that I go to tells me, yes, it feels really bad, but actually, it will be more cost effective if you wait longer to get it fixed. Wait till there are scratches, dents, stone chips in the front, sides, etc, a few years later, then get it all fixed in one swoop.
Each time you go get a scratch, dent, fixed, means labor, paint job, etc. $80-100 each time. But then, after you get it all fixed, another big stone hits your hood, front bumper, you go back again, another $80-100.
If you wait a few years, then get everything fixed, probably will be $200-300. Then your car will look all brand new again.
He advises me this especially if you are planning to spend $200-300 on a 3M tape covering your bumper. He says with the tape, it will protect the actual surface under the tape, but the tape itself will be pited or chipped from the impact = noticable. Fixing a bumper (without the tape) will cost about $150-200 and will look brand new afterwards. More economical and bumper will look new again.
