My Canadian Tire (McCowan and Sheppard - Toronto) charges me $1 extra and only sells $45 denominations for Public Mobile.
I still come out ahead. Does anyone know a better CT gas station for buying prepaid phone cards?
I'm confused as it looks like these two answers are contradictory...

Is it that Public Mobile is not considered a gift card? (I'm not with PM) Or was the PM purchase done at the gas bar?

Not all stores are able to apply a discount on the Variable Load card and that is why the variable is excluded from the promotion. It's a Loblaw point of sale issue not a Can Tire Gift Card limitation.

Any idea if they'll keep on doing these deals?

I've been using Canadian Tire gift cards for gas since last may. I've probably used 700 dollars worth and have 400 left to spare. Thinking of buying 600 dollars more. Anybody think this deal will go away due to the minimum wage increase?

Don't see why. Prices of items should just increase in general. All that BS with Tim Hortons is just theatre, when in reality they could increase the price of coffee by 10 cents and nobody would care.

You can purchase any pre-paid phone card (including Fido, Bell and Public) at CanTire with gift cards.
They charge an extra $1 per transaction regardless of how you pay. The biggest denomination for Public at McCowan CT is $45+hst.
Shell and Shopper's which also accept gift cards for prepaid mobile cards do not charge $1 and have $100 denominations.

Seems like only some locations will let you buy vouchers with gcs.

Is there a way to use the Public Mobile vouchers while getting credit for Autopay?

Don't buy the prepaid voucher. Do the the real-time vouchers. Goes straight to your account and max of $200 the last time I did it. Still $1 for transaction, but way better than $1 per $45

This is a great promo for buying discounted gas (even though I currently pay $1.60/100km to drive an EV now). I've forwarded this deal on to some family members who are stuck waiting for their 2018 EV's (Leaf / Bolt / Model 3) to be delivered.

Does the real time voucher negate the autopay discount? I was thinking paying my next balance (minus $1) to keep the discount going.

What's a real time voucher? Is it like load balance to your account right at the store?

I bought some gift cards today at RCSS. The receipt says they will be active within 24 hours, and not to use before that or card becomes void. Is it really necessary? Anybody voided their card by using it before 24 hours?
I really need to fill up today.
