Hot! 50ml Crest toothpaste for 13c

Price:
13c
Expiry:
October 25, 2017
Retailer:
Loblaws
Saw a thread on this for RCSS last week. This week, Loblaws has their 50ml Crest toothpaste on sale for $1.00

On Flipp, there's a coupon for $2.00 off any 2 Crest products excluding trial sizes

Because Loblaws takes coupons off after tax, that's all you owe

At a pea sized amount of toothpaste, that boils down to.... 0.17 - 0.26 cents every time you brush your teeth!

These sizes are good for travel.

While I was picking up toothpaste in RCSS last night, I noticed that Colgate is in the process of replacing their 95mm size with a 60mm size for the same price, in a box that looks the same size from the front. Looks like the major toothpaste brands are trying a new push to increase profit margins.

My loblaws flyer describes it as 95ml, but the picture of the item shows 100ml.

I actually prefer 95ml because then there will be no debating with the security agent at the airport about whether it can be included in your carry-on luggage. Some of those guys are pretty pin-headed and can make your life difficult.

I had a slightly used 100ml and the security at screening made me toss it out saying it's 75ml is the limit -_-

Recently? I thought they stopped doing that silliness with toothpaste. And anyway, the rule is clearly "100ml or less" for carry-on (see https://travel.gc.ca/air/liquids). So Crest/Colgate/etc can't blame airport security for their profiteering on shrinking sizes!

Right, you can just imagine the consequences of making a snide remark like "Hope you enjoy my toothpaste." or "Isn't it supposed to be 100ml or less?": the next thing you hear will be "That way for strip search, sir. Have a nice day!" :)
