I don't own the wheel but just checking out all the videos found on youtube, the shifter doesn't look too real to me. Definitely useable though. The wheel and the pedals look very well made though. At <$250, overall it's a pretty good overall set IMO.

Logitech G25 -> Cheap h-pattern shifter?
Hey guys.
I'm still debating about buying the Logitech G25. I found really good reviews about this wheel but also found out that the h-pattern is its major weakness: a bit on the cheap side, so it doesn't feel like a true one.
Could you comment about this? Is it useable and does it feel real? I'd buy the G25 for its clutch / h-pattern combo so if it doesn't do the job I'll skip!
Thanks in advance.
Yan

It works, but it's definitely not the best you can get.
The way that the gear slots are designed will introduce a lot of wear and tear if you're rough with your shifting, and a lot of people don't like how it clicks into gear.
For the price though, the pedals and the wheel itself more than compensate for the poor shifter, and even poorer paddles. It's made my driving experience just that little bit more immersive, and that's the most important part to me.

The pedals and the steering wheel are the highlight of this package. Very high quality, and extremely sturdy.
The shifter is as how jolly put it, wear and tear will destroy it.
Probably for the money, the best you can get._______________
