I own them. They are *NOT* good for home theater.
1. You need to hook it up to a PC to get the so-called virtual surround sound.
2. The AUX port is broken on these. Low volumes yield buzzing/distortion.
3. It's not quite as loud as one would expect. It's good, but not great.
4. You *MUST* use the remote to control it. No other way to do it.
The price at Tiger is decent for these speakers. They do sound clean and you
won't really regret purchasing them at that price. Some places, however, ask
for higher than $200 for these which is absurd! The MSRP is just ridiculous.
Personally, I'd go for Z2300's over these, despite the slightly bassy effect it
tends to have. I mention the Z2300's because most other places I've seen
have the Z2300's slightly cheaper than these speakers.

Speakers aren't very good
We bought one set and they stopped working altogether after five minutes. Got another set and we could barely hear the subwoofer. Took them back again and bought the similarly priced Altec Lansing's, which sound very good, not fabulous.
