London
Hey everyone,
I've read through some travel books about London, England.
Next May, I'm going on my first ever trip to England for 12 days.
I am going to do the Tower of London and other main events.
Background:
I'm 19
Love history
Going with family, so I can't go clubbing or hit up the night life
Like pubs and such
Basically open to everything
Like football (soccer) and rugby
I was just hoping to get some information as in my searches I've mainly found how to do London "in a day", hopefully I'll find some more tourist attractions in my future searches on RFD.
Any suggests would be awesome.

First of all, do a search since there are already tons of threads about London on this forum.
Anyway, here is a listing of the most popular attractions.
Also, City Woop has several 2-minute videos on London (within zones 1 and 2) to get you acquainted before you arrive.
Since London is basically a city of interconnecting villages that got swallowed up, you might want to venture outside zones 1 and 2, and visit some of these villages. Richmond (zone 4) is relatively quaint right beside the river Thames. Nearby is the Hampton Court Palace which is also in the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames (Greater London has about 33 boroughs). TimeOut has a guide on London's villages.

Take a few day trips. You can choose from Bath, Hastings, Stonehenge, Salisbury, Stradford Upon Avon or the Cotswolds. The choice is yours, depending on your interest.
I suggest the London Pass if you are going to do all the historic sites and museums.
I strongly suggest the Hop On Hop Off buss tour (red or yellow buses) because that will give you a quick view of the City as well as a tour boat ride on the Thames to Greenwich and back (plus some coupons for food etc).
