Looking for best price for Energizer AA Ultimate Lithium Batteries

I need to get a few AA Ultimate Lithium Batteries and wanted to find the best price in the GTA for them.

I need some high power batteries for electronics that will be used in wide temp ranges and where using rechargable batteries won't meet my needs due to voltage differences. Lithium batteries last a long time and are not as sensitive to wide temp changes as Alkaline batteries are.

Try Costco. I think an 8 pack is about $18 (from memory)

Did you check out Costco? Is there a Sam's Club by where you are?

You can also get them online (obviously) ... that may be the best option in terms of pricing if you can't hit a Sam's Club/Costco ...

If you can find the "old" Energizer e2 lithiums ... that may be your best bang for buck choice since they are supposedly the same as the "new" Ultimates, just old packaging. The advanced stuff supposedly being the less-fancy chemistry.

Perhaps there are some sales around your area.

Thanks again for the links and info. This is a very interesting read. I truely believe that marketers and engineers are working on the opposite ends of the spectrum (one being the devil and one the angel). I guess I favour the engineering types being one myself.

Don't worry about being a battery nerd, as I am also the same and like collecting flashlights as well and have about 12 floating around the house. I love the Mag LED AA series, a few INOVA, a Fenix, and others.

Getting back to batteries, I like the lithium batteries like Energizer Ultimate for a few reasons:

- They do not leak (really handy when you have electronics that cost a bit of $)
- Great runtime and comes in handy for emergency uses (i.e. flashlight in the car)
- No need to carry around chargers
- Lithiums are lighter and cuts down on the weight of electronics like travel cameras.

I checked when I went back to Costco - It's 12 AA for $32. Not as good a deal.
