Looking for best way to get cheap student trip (open ended) to London, UK
So I'm going to study in London for 2 months in the summer. Then depending on whether I get an internship I might stay for another 2 months. So I was hoping for hints on the best way to get tickets there and back. I am somewhat constrained because I have to be down there for may 4 latest. I could easily leave from Toronto or Ottawa. Any hints on the best / cheapest way to do that? I don't mind leaving a bit earlier if that makes it cheaper. Thanks for any hints!

i'm not entirely sure. But maybe try to get a friend to drop you off at buffalo new york airport. You might save a couple hundred dollars.

I haven't bought an open return flight in over 10 years. It's not that they don't exist anymore, but the additional cost for one rarely justifies the added benefit. They are quite rare to find as most airlines having stopped offering them.
You may want to look into booking two separate one way flights. Some friends just bought a one way flight to London with IcelandAir. It ended up being cheaper than Transat.
For April 30-May 1:

For your trip back you have a few more options with Sunwing having their summer charters up and running.
