Looking for a car, need input
Im looking for a car in range of under $11000, here are the cars that I actually like for the price:
1.2000 Cadillac STS, found a few with around 150-170K. Really like the car, luxury and looks, but heard of a headgasket blow up problem on northstar engines.
2.1999 Audi A6 with about 160-170K, dont know anything about it, but I like the quality of interior.
3.2000 Nissan Maxima S, 160K, know nothing about the car, supposed to be reliable?
4.2000+ Jetta with 150-170K, friend has one, only had to replace timing belt and water pump other than that is ok car.
If anyone had experience with those or know how reliable they are, please post up, also feel free to suggest anything else along those lines.

it depends how the previous owners treated the car, if proper maintanence intervals have been followed closely, some cars with 200k+ on the clock still run like new, while others have severe engine damage done with less than 100k.
i would lean towards the Maxima. But better to post this question on Maxima forums as they would be more helpful with problems associated with this car

If you're going for high mileage, just remember to allocate a few thousand dollars for any unexpected repairs.

Of the list you provided, the Maxima is the best bet for reliability and longevity in my opinion.
You could also add the Mazda 626 to your list._______________

Stick with the one Japanese manufacturer you have listed.
I'd go with the Maxima provided it's been taken care of._______________

I'd just pickup a decent used camry, good quality overall. Even an accord.
