Looking for a fun DD... not sure what to get

Been looking for something to DD for couple of weeks now, from 04 TT to Lancer Ralliart, Acura to Volvo,
so many choices....

what I want.... some power, doesn't have to be 400hp but nothing 105hp either.
prefer to have awd

The hardest part is, boss at home wants auto, i like manual.
I thought the Ralliart w/ the dual clutch was a good idea but she doesn't like the look (ironically she prefers the frs / brz but I don't think she should drive that)

any good suggestions.

I am open to both new and used, but not guzzler / problematic. i want to have fun , but not going to the shop every week.

DD as in all year DD?

so it has to be awd, and automated manual would be a +

hmmm

only i can think of atm would be Golf R, wrx( auto variants exists? ), bmw 328xi or 335xi C:

or

996 c4(s) + tip: but thats a horrible combo already, plus the ims problem

all your cars are not "automated manual" (DCT)
consider used s4 if power+awd+dct is a must

IS-F - think of it as a reliable M3

You can pick up a used early model one for a fairly cheap price nowadays.

I think GTi/A3 suits the bill

5 door GTi or even TDI (torque is fun). Practical and nimble.

Second the GTI DSG plus a good set of snow tires for winter.
