I'm not familiar with Air Flex so can't speak to their quality or reputation.
The price is sharp for the equipment listed.
As for tankless, there are a few threads on this site you can check out. Be advised there is conflicting information offered so as a consumer you'll have to keep a critical eye before making judgements.

Depends, how long are you planning on staying in the house you're wanting to install all of this in?

Sorry for the lingo.
By sharp I mean as in a "sharp pencil" - very good. That's assuming it's from a quality contractor. Always get three quotes, interview the candidates, realize price is important but not the sole factor.
I'm not sure what area you live in but you could get two other Lennox quotes from A1 and Pinnacle Home Environment if you are in the GTA.

I had a high efficiency lennox system installed 4 yrs ago (heat pump, natural gas furnace and air filter) it cost me around the amount that you have stated.
The system works great, and with the dual energy plan that I am on with Hydro, my gas/hydro bills are VERY low.

i originally considered lennox but was discouraged by 2 findings:
1. there is/was a class action lawsuit against lennox for defective heat exchangers that had carbon monoxide leaks.
2. lennox requires the furnace to be serviced yearly (comfort care) (approx $100/visit) in order to honour the warranty.

Hi phonzy,
Was just wondering if your furnace quote (4200$) does include the installation + ComfortSense™ 5000 Series Touchscreen Thermostat + Taxes.
If it is the case then U definitely got an awesome deal.
I got a quote for the same furnace LENNOX G71P with a programmable thermostat (need to confirm the model) + installation + Tax = 4400$.
I would appreciate it if you can confirm that piece of info as soon as you can, since I am about to sign a contract with one of the local furnace installers (Gatineau/Ottawa region).
Thank you.

It may be the same furnace but obviously not the same house. Your house may require more labour or materials to complete the job. This is a home renovation, not an IPod or Ford Explorer you're buying. If your contractor has a good reputation and the contract isn't filled with fine print (loop holes were "extras" can be applied) then your deal is just as sharp.

I got quoted $4300 from an authorized Lennox dealer in Aurora, Summers and Smith, for the 110,000 BTU G61V furnace, Lennox humidifier, and Honeywell thermostat
For the 4 ton XC14 air conditioner I was quoted $4000.
The company has been around 35 years, employs 2 separate installation crews (does not subcontract its work), and I was told by a reference they do everything to code. For this, I'm paying a bit more...

1.) You are confused. It is carrier that is involved in a heat exchanger lawsuite at the moment, not lennox.
2.) Every manufacturer requires their furnace to be servived. Read all the fine print, it's just Lennox that actualyl clearly states it. MANY contractors tell you not to worry about anything becasue a.) they assume thats what you want to hear, and b.) they aren't worried about the almost guaranteed conflict that will happen if/when they have to tell you the manufacturer will not honour the warranty after reviewing the service history of the unit.
