I got first one one year ago. It works great with my 3th generation Ipod. Even you can use it as computer avdio output. For 4th and 5th gen. Ipod,I really do not know.

you're not a fan of music but you own an ipod? what do you use it for? podcasts?
I'd stick with something that works with an ipod natively ..if you buy the sony mini(s) you'll still need an adaptor, plus some way of keeping the battery charged like a dock or an ac adaptor ..even then there's no way of controlling your ipod from the stereo's remote so you may have to buy a seperate remote ...my suggestion is that you eaither buy the logictech or go with something a little more expensive that does everything you need it to do. Personally I'd get the Altec Lansing or the Bose ipod speakers or the Tivoli Ipal ..pricey but once you factor in the remote, adaptors and charging dock ..another option is if you buy an apple universal dock (comes with all adaptors) and an apple ipod remote and hook it up to any stereo and there's no compromise in sound

The question you ask me bothers me.And also your talking way bothers me .Specially the first one. The thing is you are not a huge fan of music, but you can "listen" some music ,right? So,this is the way it goes, right?

Have you considered an FM Transmitter? (Assuming you have a radio in your bedroom)
The Nexxtech usb fm transmitter (from the Source) is very good. You can use it for your ipod, as well as transmitting audio from your computer to any radio in the house. It's not going to give you CD quality, bu it will give nice fm quality sound.
