Looking for a Karaoke Bar in the GTA
A bunch of kids in my class, are looking to let off some steam after mid terms, and figured a Karaoke bar would be a good idea.
But we were hoping for one, where you can rent out your own private room.
Hopefully with cheap drinks, and decent ambiance.
I've heard that there are some in Korea Town (Bathurst/Bloor). But not exactly sure of any names or specifics.
Someone else suggested going to Markham. The only upside to that would be easier parking. Considering most of us live in Brampton/Mississauga.
If you guys have any recommendations, post them up.

Yeah I vouch for Bar+ too, it's the nicest place downtown. Of course this sorta depends on your location for school..
You can even turn on the super-cheezy-retro-colorful-mini-disco-balls.

I know of one at the southwest corner of Clinton/Bloor on the second floor. I went there once, it's pretty good.
Forgot the name of the place though, but I think that one's pretty well known.

Newbie
Every Monday at Red Rooster in Burlington you actually sing with a live band of amazing musicians (all formally of David Usher/Moist). Out of the GTA though...

I havn't been do any of the Karaoke bars except the ones in Markham, how's the english song selection at Bar+ ???
The english songs at mix2 are not categorized, so you have to go through 500 pages to look for english songs and their some of the newest english songs don't have lyrics....so they're just music videos.......same goes with ten23.
MHQ don't have any new english songs. Their newest one is....Don't Cha by PCD and their system isn't as up to date as the other 2 places. So tough if you're planning to shouting to some EL LA EL LA EL LA. I find MHQ more for high school people in that area or people without a car.
