I would suggest that out of all the ones I have - ColorNote and Evernote - Evernote does a better job and it does what you need. You can create a widget, and see your current notes, can add a new note including voice or picture note. Colore Note is pretty good but the widget feature doesn't let you create a new note, it only lets you view a specific note you select and lets you edit by tapping on it.
Both have syncing capabilities. Another advantage for Evernote is that you can sync between devices + computer. ColorNote doesn't sync with a computer.
I also just got Microsoft's OneNote, and haven't experimented it with yet - but it syncs between your computer as well provided you have One Note installed on your computer through MS Office.
I think it might have a widget feature, but I'd have to check.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

Looking For a Note/Memo App For Android
Hello. I was lucky enough to get in on the Sony Arc deal to upgrade from my old Optimus 1. The Optimus 1 had a stock memo pad type thing in one of the home screen that worked great but the Arc does not have the same. I am looking for an notepad/memo app for my new phone but I tried a few but didn't like them. In this app, I want to be able to type into the app directly from one of the home screens and not have to load the app everytime I want to add or look at my notes. What do you use to makes notes so you don't forget thing you think of while on the road? Is there one out there that is better than the rest? Thanks.

I use FlickNote, which is a Simplenote client. I like Simplenote over Evernote because it is more streamlined and quick (fewer features though, of course). FlickNote does have a widget for homescreen use, but i just use the app. Some people prefer mNote to FlickNote.

I think this is one area where Google are really missing a niche. I loved how on my previous phones, of various brands, synced to the notes of Outlook. For my android I settled on Evernote because it syncs to a server. This is pretty handy, especially because I have an android tablet too.

Try GTasks.
It syncs with your Gmail Tasks too so you have backups and can access it anywhere.

anyone know a note widget that will take up the entire screen?
Edit- nevermind, Note widget free takes up the entire screen and there is a fair bit of customization that can be done.Last edited by buu.ho; Feb 8th, 2012 at 07:21 PM.

Any.Do is probably the best looking app there is on Android for notes. I have used ever note, google docs, Jorte calendar...etc
Its so nice and minimalistic. I dont even take notes that often but i have a widget on one of my homescrren panels just because it looks nice LOL
