Looking for organically raised (no certification is ok) meat and poultry near Toronto reasonably priced

Hi all,

I recently got a big freezer with the intent of purchasing organically raised beef (grass fed)/ pork/ chicken in bulk for my big family.
Please recommend reasonably priced farmers/ butchers.
I do not care if they are actually certified, as long as they are trustworthy and practice organic farming.

Much appreciated!!!

They sell meats in smaller quantities, no hormones, no antibiotics - but not grass fed or organic.

Any other recommendations?

We use Echo Valley Ranch for beef and poultry, I think they sell pork and lamb, as well as dairy. Vey satisfied with their products.

Thank you! Do they deliver or pick up only?

Make finding your meat an adventure and visit small farmer's markets where smaller farmers sell meat. Get to know them, buy samples, then buy in larger quantities. For example, come to the Cobourg market and check out http://www.roamingvalleyfarm.com/ or the Port Hope market and http://www.kingsholmfarms.com/ They raise different breeds and you might prefer one over the other. My local friends have wonderful things to say about both farms.

Thanks. Going to have to check these out.

They can deliver to your house for a fee, but they also deliver to couple business locations in the GTA, last time I just met the delivery driver at their usual drop off location north of Burlington for no delivery charge.

Thank you all! After reaserching many options I gave a try to Dragonfly Farms, they were the only ones that offered pastured/ organically fed pork.

Any recommendations re: organic cheeses? I have a big family and interested in buying “Costco quantities”, several kg at once, at reasonable price.
