Looking for *SUMMER* clothes, suggestions?

Hey,

I know it's still cold dry winter, but spring is creeping up and I'm gonna be spending most of my "summer break" (May->July) in a warm climate.

I'm looking for summer clothing suggestions.

I hate shorts. Yup. So, no shorts as in short pants. I always wear jeans they seem pretty hot. Are there specially designed long pants for summer? Breathable?

T-shirts I'll just get some with funky logos or something.

If you don't actually need it now, why not wait a little longer? Stores only have their spring merchandise right now. Not many warm weather stuff.

For pants, most stores have khakis in a lightweight fabric. They're extremely thin and breathable. I know Gap and Club Monaco has them (maybe not at the moment).

Male capris are good, their light and airy; and there like shorts but still lengthy enough.

I know guys that wear Linen pants and guy sandals "mandals" maybe...like from Seinfeld...lol,

cotton is also breathable.

lands end always has a clerance section year round online, jcrew might- not too sure.

land end has great prices i find!

wear white khakis and Hawaiin shirts. But since you're going to a hot place why not just wear wife beaters outside?

one thing that really stood out to me. GAP new relax fit casual khakis is definitly flipflop beach wear if thats what you're looking for.

Hm, for some reason I really hate khakis. Maybe it's just the *ONE* pair I've ever owned that fitted horribly.. (tight at the waist but felt like the expanded like crazy at the hips then tight back down the legs... crazy!)

I'll go check out Gap and other stuff, I usually buy Club Monaco but now I'm pretty darn poor so I can't haha.

I'm not going to a beach so I'm not gonna go crazy Hawaiian shirts. Haha, that's not really my style.

goto Banana Republic and pick up some drawstring lounge pants, they come in cotton and linen, should be in stock soon. old navy has them too, and so does rw and co.

you can prolly skip all that an get an entire outfit at h&m for a third of the price you'd pay at club monaco

Are there specially designed long pants for summer? Breathable?

1. Natural fabrics breathe. eg. cotton, linen, silk.

2. Fabric weights tend to be "lighter" for summer. So, in this way, pants made with lighter fabric weights are "designed for summer". Note: when talking about women's pants designed for summer, these tend to be really bright, loud, outlandish, embarrassingly trendy, sometimes white (so that everyone can see what underwear you're wearing underneath) and absurdly embroidered and embellished pants, made to be worn for one season. This is because, by the end of the season, you will think "Why the heck did I buy this?"

3. You can always wear those nylon track pants that have snap buttons all up along the side of the leg. You can rip those open for ventilation. Note: if you want to really rock this look, be sure to wear a gold chain around your neck and slick your hair back with gel while wearing this type of pant.
