I liked it I guess but the whole creature thing is pretty silly. and seeing Greg Grunberg again as the pilot scared me, talk about being in 2 too many of Abram's series.

yes, he was Vaughn's partner in Alias right?
Do you remember what show he was in before Alias?
I'm very curious to see what the monster is supposed to be. Who knows if they'll even show it at all. Maybe it'll be a surprise for the last episode... but I'm hoping it'll be like Maris on Frasier._______________

About the monsters: they must be pretty huge as they make big thumping noises when they walk, just like the dinosaurs from the movie Jurassic Park do. My theory is maybe the plane went through some space/time temporal anomaly causing it to not only crash but travel back in time to when there were dinosaurs. If that is the case, boy are they really lost.

Sep 23rd, 2004 12:05 AM #5I actually really liked the show, especially for a show put out by ABC. As for Greg Grunberg, I think he was maybe in it as a joke, I mean seeing how he was in Felicity and Alias, maybe he has a deal to be in every Abram's series even if it is for only five minutes.

Good show. Not too sure about the "monster" thing, but the show has a lot of potential and I can't wait to see where they take it. Lot's of good actors as well (Terry O' Quinn was a nice surprise - I was a Harsh Realm fan).

saw the premiere...it was alright, but it didnt blow my mind
when the monster appeared, i was like, "this better not be a dinosaur...cause if it is, i m switching the channel"
i like the time portal idea. I was thinking myself that it's some sort of alien abduction to an experiment kinda thing...but its all up in the air

Be a dinosaur, be a dinosaur lol - wouldn't bother me if it was better than some of the alternatives

Sep 23rd, 2004 10:50 AM #9yeah I agree it does sound silly, especially since we don't even know what "it" is...and probably won't until the end of the season either! For now they're just going to run away from this imaginery thing that runs through the jungle making a hideous sound.

I had it PVR'ed and got around to watching it tonight. Solid pilot, but I'm not sure if it will find an audience yet or not. Reminded me a lot of Jurassic Park, although I guess with the success that had that might not be so bad after all. I was hoping for more of a survival kind of show, like how they survive, how characters and relationships develop, that kinda thing rather than some freaky monster type stuff. Oh well, we'll see where the next episode goes.

It was a one-shot deal for Greg Grunberg - besides, he was eaten up pretty badly.

The show was ridiculous right from the beginning. A jet engine running on its own? Running at a high enough setting to suck someone into it, yet it was't moving? WTF?
I was disappointed._______________

Really the whole premise of the show is pretty ridiculous, the plane would be in a million pieces, there would not be large sections of it intact like the cockpit, the working jet engine (the most hilarious part). There would not be survivors, all easily walking around. Matthew Fox's character wouldn't be the only guy trying to help people without being asked. But it sure looked great in HD, pretty high budget stuff (well if they showed a realistic looking moster, then it would have to be REALLY high budget). Its high budget enough that I doubt it will last unless it does quite well in the ratings.

Sep 26th, 2004 09:11 PM #15He would hold the monster over for quite a while, but not as long as the guy assigned to helping the pregnant woman.
