FAQ
Q: How do we know you wont run off with the money?
A: I dont snoop around RFD. ive been an active member for quite some time. Ive also met dozens of RFD users face to face @ meets. Alot of the players i actally met outside of RFD and some even go to my school.
Paypal isnt exactly anonymous either. If you look @ my previous pools, they have always been a success
Q: why do you do this? and whats the benifits of playing a Lottery Pool?
A: to try and win a million bucks. I find the lottery pool fun to organize. It gives me and other people a better chance of winning too.
Lottery pools have a better chance of winning because everyone puts their tickets together.
eg. IF you just buy 1 lottery ticket a week, you only get one chance.
But if you put your 1 lottery ticket into a pool with 100 people... You guys have 100 chances of winnings instead of just 1. The only downside is that you must split the jackpot winnings among the people in the pool.
Q: What happens if we win the jackpot or a large prize?
A: A large prize would be split with the following formula which ensures equal share based on how many tickets you bought.
(# of tickets purchased by Person X)/(total tickets purchased by the group) * (value of winning) = Person X's share of the prize.
Q: why no more direct deposit or cash payment?
A: i will now except EMT under certain conditions. It takes a bit more time to co-ordinate the emails, rather then checking through paypals.
Q: What happens if its a minor prize? say $5 or $10?
A: The money will be put into Daily Keno. Or other lotteries as suggested by players. These tickets that are "carried on" will only be applicaple to the people that participated in that it was carried on from pool.
Q: how do u keep track of so many pools?
A: I bought a filing folder envelope with tabs marked w/ each date & version #. I also have a folder and subfolders on my computer seperating all pools, results, winnings, and carried on tickets. Therse also an elaborate excel spread sheet that helps me keep track.
Q: Can i paypal you $2? I dont wanna pay extra ...
A: NO! please dont low ball a lottery group buy that i volunteer my own personal time to organize. I already stated in the thread paypal eats FEEs... alot of them.
Q: Common... ill give you $1.50 for a ticket. Best price i give you!
A: Go fcuk your self >=D
Thanks to Mr Disco for the formula
Thanks to B40 for excel spread sheet to organize tickets and winnings

it's a simple formula..
( $ contributed / total $ contributed ) * winnings
i'm not sure what you mean by 'regardless of how well you think your formula works' - it's math.. it always works
the whole point is to add flexbility so everyone can particpate wether they want 1 or 20 tickets. the whole point of a pool is to get access to a large amount of tickets without putting in that much money... it's not to split it evenly_______________

So when you say you won 50 dollars on the last draw, does that mean everyone who played got atleast 50 dollars? Or the group as a whole got 50 dollars and once it was split up each person only got 50 cents.

Its not a big enough win to be split. He put the $50 into 6/49 tickets. And there were also a bunch of free tickets won in the previous lottery pool for the $27 million jackpot this week. Go to any of the previous threads and he's updated them with pictures of the new tickets purchased/won there.
So if any of these free tickets in the previous pool win, the winnings will be split accordingly between everyone that contributed into THAT pool. Or it'll keep going with free tickets/small winnings until it is dead, as with the 1st and 2nd ones. So each version of the lottery pools are separate from each other.

i posted them =)
i will be spelling out details after my final exam on monday... after that i will do a courtesy PM to the people that shown interest in this thread, and in previous pools.
I couldnt directly post the image b/c RFD only allows about 10 pics per page to be posted..._______________
