Being a true RFDer, can I refund the purchase and buy again until I get a bigger discount than $10?

I don't see why not. Just use cash to buy, that way you won't have 20 of the same charges.

Just use the flashlight and scotch tape trick to see what discount you have before leaving your home.

Tap scotch tape on the scratch material to remove a slight amount of the material. Then go into a dark room and shine a powerful flashlight on the back of the card and you'll be able to see the discount.

"no purchase necessary" always means the scratch card.

Come to think of it, yes that is standard. No purchase required to get a scratch card. Too early for me to post in mornings.
