Good quality kit with the bigger 4.0 ah batteries x2. I have the drill in this kit and it kicks ass. The impact can be used both as a 1/4 drive for screws or 1/2 drive for lugnuts that require under 140 ft pounds. Lowes also has some deep discounts on other Bosch combo kits and bare tools.....check it out!

Use the $50 gc next week to buy the impact sockets

I purchased this kit a week ago w/ $25 discount.
Still unopened so I may just return and get this deal.

Is this combo the best in terms of price/features value for these types of kits?
I know Bosch have some newer models but almost double the price...

For those in the Vancouver Lower Mainland (kelowna & St. Jerome QC as well), and missed the free $50gc, then the price is a warm deal. Summit Tools has a better kit, the GXL18V-224B25 for $299 after $100 instant rebate until June 30th. This is the newer tools with two CORE18V 4ah batteries, and bluetooth ready hammer drill and impact driver. I picked up what appears to be the newer version of the kit OP posted GXL18V-251B25 for $199 after $100 instant rebate. Unfortunately, this kit was only available as a 3 day father's day sale that ended yesterday.

They also have the GXL18V-238B25 non hammer brushless drill/driver combo for sale for $150 after $100 instant rebate until June 30th. Hope this helps someone!

I think it is! I actually purchased the GXL18V-238B25 non hammer brushless kit and posted about it here a few weeks back. The sales rep mentioned that someone goofed up at Bosch and sent them the wrong kits, which is why they're able to sell the new models with a $100 instant rebate (post tax unfortunately :(). The hammer drill kit i picked up the other day wasn't previously advertised either, came as a last minute 3 day fathers day sale.

They also have the GBH18V-26DK24 18V EC Brushless SDS-plus® Bulldog 1 In. Rotary Hammer Kit with 2 CORE18V 8Ah batteries for $349 after $100 instant rebate, though that seems a bit overkill for a DIY noob like me :P

In case anyone is interested and thinks they can price match a store that doesn't sell online or post model numbers, here's their flyer: http://summittools.com/index.php?option ... &Itemid=71

In your opinion (CLPK251-181) w/$50 is a great deal or so, so...
Should I wait for a combo you picked up?
I have a friend in Kelowna so he could buy it for me next time there's sale.

That's really hard to say, because it doesn't appear that many of the big hardware stores carry the newer Bosch sets on their websites yet. I can't compare the prices, nor can I price match anywhere currently because I simply can't find the same sets at Lowes or HD. I know Lowes advertised what appears to be the GXL18V-238B25 in their June 6th to 12th flyer for $279 and it was marked as a new product. This set couldn't be found on their website. I picked this set up for $150 at Summit. They also advertised what I think is the GXL18V-239B25 based on pictures for $279, also not found on their website. I'm not sure if it was a pricing error on the flyer because they're both for $279, one was advertised as brushless, and the hammer drill wasn't.

That said, the deal certainly seems warm if you compare it to what I was able to purchase. However, Summit might not have similar deals for a while as i'm informed that the deals this time was because of a goof up on bosch's end. So assuming you can't find another GXL18V-251B25 for $200 in the near future and don't mind an older set with non CORE18V batteries, $220 after the $50gc isn't bad.
