I totally don't need this....but....my Bosch 12" workhorse is not a slider and there have been times that would have been quite useful....

Homedepot is having their power tools event (started this Thursday). Picked up the DW718 for $350! ($399 - $50(in store discount). Ask for the in store coupon at the cash register when you check out. Still a few units available in GTA. There were 2 new units at Leaside HD. I picked up one this AM. I would call ahead as sometimes the online system is not accurate. It may show inventory but have none OR it may show no inventory and have some. Ask the sales reps in the tools dept. Them seem to know where they are hidden up in the racks.

No stand but it difficult to go wrong for $350 even without the stand. There was the 10" dewalt with free stand for $599 - $100 discount.

I thought the DW718 has been around $420 since the DWS780 came out? Not a big diff between the two, and some reviews favored the 718. I went for the 780 with free stand late last year when they had a tool event.

$350 is great of course.

I saw this and contemplated, but then saw the Milwaukee 12" on sale for 599 with free stand ( worth about 200). Bought at Home Depot, also purchase an angle grinder to get me over the $600 mark for an additional $125 off. I also had a coupon for 10% off any purchase and total for mitre saw, stand and angle grinder came to under $550 tax in.

I've used the dewalt and its a good saw, however definitely think the Milwaukee is more accurate and a better saw...

I went to the HD on eglington first thing this morning because online showed two saws in stock. The guy said they didn't have any, but took my number and said he'd have a look because his computer showed 3 in stock. A couple hours later he called, said he found them and he'd hold it for the day for me. I just picked it up. One other one had a hold, and not sure about the third one. Also got $50 off at the register for the power tools event.

OOS everywhere in Ottawa, but price matched at Rona Gloucester at $399. Wouldn't give me the extra 10% as it was out of stock everywhere and someone had already been in and tried that with the manager. Thanks OP
