Thanks op! Dewalt is best specially the brushless series. You can never go wrong with these. I have used them previously for many jobs and the batteries last forever, maybe it uses less energy? Now just need to get bigger batteries set.

doesn't even the regular drill have a hammer option?

Also wondering if the XR series is overkill for the average DIY, around the home.

Similar performance. Depends mostly on what ecosystem you're already invested in or will be investing in. Ignore the 20V Max marketing BS, the battery packs are 18V nominal just like Milwaukee's M18 packs.

Yea I don't really have an investment into anything right now. Just have some old nicad dewalts atm. They're ok but showing age as far as performance goes.

This ia very true. Dewalt is really 18v, thats why in EU there is no dewalt 20v. Just dewalt 18v pod, and 18v slide aka our 20v.

Wish we had stricter marketing laws.

I bought into the dewalt eco system and have like 8-10 xr items because i found them to go on sale more often then others.

Is the gift card offer gone? The $25 discount available?
