Saw this in this week's Lowe's flyer. They seem to be the only one carrying this model in the GVRD area so don't think there's a price match opportunity. Electrolux is supposed to be a high end brand.

860 Gal - Estimated water consumption is about average for a new dishwasher and is rated GOOD for water efficiency. Energy Star projects it to use 4 gallons of water for each cycle, or about 860 gallons annually.

This is my concern about this product.

Isn't it Frigidaire that's made by Electrolux?

If anyone knows how this would compare the the similarly price Maytag:

MAYTAG
Stainless Steel Tub Dishwasher - MDB4949SDH
http://www.homedepot.ca/product/stainle ... sdh/874147
$497.70

or better yet, if it's significantly better than the cheapo Maytag with plastic tub?
MAYTAG
Jetclean Plus Dishwasher With Steamclean - MDBH949PAB
http://www.homedepot.ca/product/jetclea ... pab/803847
$298.00

it'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

bought this unit, was a decent price, installed it a couple things that are 'different' - the control pad is extremely sensitive, so you have to lock it until its ready to run, it doesn't show that its running and doesn't so how much time is left, its very quiet, so you will end up opening it to see if its running, it will display then how much time is remaining. finally, it doesn't 'keep' the clean light on after a quick door opening, so our old one used to keep the clean light lit until we had the door open for x seconds...but its good for the sale price, 498

how do you lock it? I saw on the display "LOC" but i didn't know what i did that it came on and didn't know how to unlock it so i just switched the main power on and off.

:D its incorrect in the manual, touch the 'air dry' button for 3 sec, then do the same for unlocking it, found that out by searching...also changed out the spring loaded clamp by the pump with a screw down clamp, I found that those spring loaded ones lose their grip after a while
