[Lowe's] *HOT* Ring Floodlight $182.70 and Other Ring Products Also On Sale

Lowes has most Ring (and other smart home stuff) on clearance. If you spend $110 you get $5 off and if you spend $190+ you get a $15.00 off coupon

Ring Floodlight $182.70 with Coupon
https://www.lowes.ca/security-lights/ri ... floodlight

Ring Doorbell Pro $179.40 without Coupon
https://www.lowes.ca/doorbells/ring-wir ... Ring-video

and more. I ordered 2 Floodlight for local pickup. Way better than the $251 price match from this week.

It was a banner on the site when you view the actual product. I believe it is different for each user and depends on cost of product.

Looking at the Ring Pro

It says Requires a 16-24 VAC transformer

Mean while it also says I can just install it with existing door bell wire?

Price match with Home Depot for another 10% off.
The Home Depot website specifically states that it does not price match clearance items.

https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/custom ... antee.html

What's Excluded from Price Matches
  • Custom or Special Order products (with the exception of Special Order appliances) – meaning customized or configured products (e.g., custom ordered blinds or carpet) from a competitor
  • Volume or wholesale discount pricing and trade quotes offered by competitors
  • Discontinuations, liquidations, clearance, and close-out prices
  • Competitor bid and auctions site pricing
  • Items sold via a third-party or discount site, including marketplaces and third-party sellers - meaning any products that are not sold directly by a competing retailer
  • Open-box or display merchandise as well as returned, damaged, pre-owned, reconditioned, refurbished or previously discounted products
  • Competitor pricing for professional services, including labour, assembly and installation costs
  • Rebates, free offers, gifts with purchase, gift cards, prepaid cards, or bundle offers
  • Unspecific offers
  • Credit, lease, or financing offers and programs
  • Fraudulent prices and advertised pricing from a competitor based on typographical error, misprint or other error
  • Rain checks, retroactive price adjustments
  • Non-branded items
  • Items with inflated shipping charges
  • Taxes, delivery and shipping
  • Products and services furnished by Installation Services

What you should do is go to HomeDepot and make a fuss about price matching it and then the CSR will let you price match it just to get you out of the store. I've seen a lot of RFDers do that.

If the transformer is undersized, you will have connection issues and the unit will power off when someone rings the doorbell.
Get a 24vac/30va transformer which is guaranteed to properly power the doorbell, especially under load.
