[Lowe's] LG Washer & Dryer $1790 with PM & 25% Gov Rebate + Air Miles

The below LG washer & dryer is currently selling for $1300/each at other retailers - Lowe’s has it priced at $1500+ so I was able to get it priced match + additional 10% and the 25% gov rebate. 5x Air miles as well.

$80 for delivery (include haul away)
I PM’d to Best Buy
Must go in-store to claim 25% rebate

Looks like a great set with Turbowash.

These were around $1045 from Black Friday to the end of 2019. With that being said, if you are in the market for this model it’s not bad to buy it now since the Ontario rebate will likely end soon. I just got the 3800/3900 model instead.

Yes you can.
Online has instructions how to claim the rebate when you buy the appliance.
Example: Costco has a rebate you can add to your cart and it will deduct the money directly.

Can you show us how we can claim the rebate with online purchase?
I’m seeing this...ENERGY SAVINGS REBATE PROGRAM - In-store only for Ontario customers: Save 25% up to $500 on select Energy Star products with instant in-store rebate. Plus, get 5x Air Miles Reward Miles.

Yep i just bought a washer and dryer from costco.

When I called lowes in my area THAT store said it was done their rebate. I was told again by another store they have a max allowance per store. When that is hit, the store is done the program.

Either way, costco was still a MUCH better deal in the long run. Free delivery and haul a way, 200$ for 3 year's total of 5 for both washer and dryer extended warranty, rebate and the set was a a great sale.

Isn’t now the most expensive time to buy washer/dryer?

....
My washer went......cheaper to buy a new one.

Can't wait till boxing day LOL.

So regardless of the "time" to buy one, I needed one.

So I saw a good deal on a set. Better then the ones I have and cheaper then what I paid for this set i have now.

If you factor in the 25% rebate and a on sale set....that's a steal in my books.

i believe you must go in-store to claim the rebate - only Costco lets you buy online (no PM though).

updated OP to reflect :)

$1294.99 each at Costco.ca, you can get Lowes to PM + 10% plus free shipping since Costco includes shipping.

The only downside is Costco provides an extra 1 year of warranty, you decide if the extra 1 year is worth the 10% savings from Lowes. Also, if you want a pedestal set, Costco has one for $301 more, you can also PM that with Lowes.

Bought this set last November for just over $1900 all-in after Ontario HST and energy rebate at Appliance Canada. So far so good, been happy with the performance. Washer does not come with any hoses. Would recommend getting stainless steel braided lines. Dryer comes with a plastic y-adaptor and rubber hose for the steam function which I also replaced with steel alternatives. The braided lines are much more flexible which was good for me because the machines are in a really tight space.

I bought these during boxing week from Best buy. The prices are after the rebate and before tax:

10550169 DLEX4370K 824.99
10550175 WM4370HKA 844.99

You might get a better deal if you talk to a sales person at best buy and negotiate.

From my conversations with multiple Lowe's employees - they dont beat Costco by 10%; only match. Maybe because Costco is a membership club.

Unfortunately OP doesn't have a time machine. I bought the same ones as you just before Labour Day, paid $1844 all-in (after rebates). Originally $1048 each pc before rebates & taxes.

It's a great set, but at OPs posted price, it's pricey, even with the 10% off ($1170)
Tis banana is IRIE 😎

10% off is cold, 50% off is warm, 75% off is hot, but FREE IS RFD!

OP, get them to throw in the delivery and haul away for free. It's usually up to the discretion of the salesperson.

Actually there are specific membership only items on costco.ca, that’s why they should beat by 10%. You can show them the member specific items and mention that all the other models can be purchased by non-members.

Example Member Only Item: https://www.costco.ca/frigidaire-4.1-cu ... 01788.html

What's the best deal for washer and dryer front load combos from Costco? I heard I should stay far away from Samsung. First time buying a washer and dryer.

I have this washer/dryer pair and they are really, really excellent. By far the best units I have owned. I bought them when they were $3K for the pair and I don't regret it.
