lowest price way to get an iphone?

so i am clueless to iphones. i see the apple.ca website has them (they are unlocked right?), i should buy from there right? are there any other ways to get it cheaper? any sales (hahaha)? or do i have to sign up for a contact (is it worth it)? what are my options?

Most iPhone contract plans can get up to about 60-70 dollars, and it's the typical 500mb, unlimited sms, little minutes with unlimited weekends/evenings.

If you do the math... It is cheaper buying it Unlocked from Apple. If you plan on using them for 3 years, which is 'like' having a contract.
Then hooking up with Fido/Virgin/Koodo (Robellus). I would recommend Virgin or Koodo since most their plans include call display.

Virgin/Koodo do a Cheap Talk&Text plan and add their 2GB data addon. Your plan is typically about $50-55.
What I like about them is they have call display included, and they have 2GB data add-on rather than 500mb.

Plus! If you get it unlocked from apple, you don't have to go through the tedious process of unlocking your phone through your carrier. Which is another $50+tax ontop with limited support.

No It ain't.. Buying It outright I find Is the cheapest because you don't have to commit to a 3 year contract at a minimum of $50 a month.
$500-$700 depending on the iPhone and using whatever plan > $50/monthly for three years.

You would save taxes and it will also be discounted compared to the Apple store. Otherwise, the Apple store would be your safest route to an unlocked iPhone if you are worried that something may happen but these phones rarely (never) go on sale.

They'll have periodic price drops, but it will be nationwide. You MIGHT be able to find a place tha twill save you $20, but not much more.

Depends on what all you want in the plan... Have a look at Koodo or Virgin with a Data add on

New policy kicked In on January, You can't do that anymore. Luckily I did It once before they changed It.

ok, im interested in the price drops, when do these periodic price drops occur and how much would i save?
