I haven't seen any updates since then, I think something is wrong with the shipment at this point.

That looks completely normal. It would indicate that package arrived inside Canada 2/25, and depending on the shipping method chosen you likely wouldn't have any further tracking updates (since Canada post won't provide them). Lots of people waiting 2-3+ months for item delivery once it hits Canadian customs.ph00p wrote: ↑ I've got a shipment from Playasia(will never order from them ever again after this) here's the status update

Thank you for the input, thats actually insane. I wish there was a place we could kick up a fuss to make some change occur on this issue.cleacy1972 wrote: ↑ That looks completely normal. Will Canada Post provide tracking once it's finally through customs? Or will I just have to hope for it to show up?

I don't think it will. Well, not anymore. Some people are able to find out some information by entering their tracking number twice in the Canada Post tracking page (click on the magnifying glass to get to that page). My package arrived in Canada on the 23rd. I too had my parcel shipped via Singapore Post registered (starts with RF, 13 characters long), but the double entry trick has not worked for me. All it says is:
"We could not find this Tracking Number in our system. Find out why. You can edit this Tracking Number or Request Delivery Updates By Email."
With N/A in the time/date and service type fields. I can't get delivery updates either, because it keeps telling me "You have already entered the maximum number of email addresses (4) for this item." WTF? I never added any email addresses.
I came across this thread at another forum that tries to decipher Canada Post's weird tracking messages but IDK if any of this information still applies. The fact that my message doesn't mention an international item makes me think it's sitting in a crate somewhere, yet to be scanned by customs. Taking their sweet time. I wouldn't be surprised considering it's nearly Easter.
Now, my eBay estimate says May 14 by the latest. I also entered my tracking number at track24.net and it gives me an April 19 estimate. I hope my parcel gets to me by April 19. I'm especially anxious because the moment I get my phone, I'm going to root it... and I'll have to wait an extra week for that Xiaomi bootloader unlock. I also have phones to sell afterwards. Yeesh!

I like that track24.net more than the 17 site, I'm not sure which one is more accurate but at least it gives a guesstimate of the delivery dates.cellnerd wrote: ↑ Now, my eBay estimate says May 14 by the latest. I'm just a consumer, it sounds like you're a seller, customs are there for your level of consuming.

I'm not a seller, just a consumer who's tired of waiting and not having any tracking info. I really want my phone. I own two phones that I plan to sell via Kijiji after this... no point in having two phones now that I have one phone with enough storage and RAM. I keep one device for media consumption only.

Technically it's the CBSA who assess the tax isn't it? Postal service to CBSA to Canada Post? CBSA has really ramped up enforcement (which seemed to coincide with nafta negotiations). The law is actually $20 ($60 if declared as a gift). CBSA used to let a lot slide, but they seem to be enforcing limits more.

Crazy, I just experienced the fastest shipment from any of my eBay purchases ever. The item was a $10 item with free shipping. Ended up coming via Hong Kong post in 12 days from order to delivery (GTA area). Such a random anomaly

Ordered 3 items from Korea on eBay and oddly enough all three shipped with different shipping methods.
Item #1: Ordered on the 19th February. Shipped with K-Packet, Korean equivalent to Chinese ePacket, (tracking number: LI...KR) on 20th. Left the country very next day on a KE071 flight. Arrived at customs on the midnight of the 24th and took 8 hours to clear. Arrived at my house on the 26th at 10 AM. It beat the estimated delivery time specified by eBay by like a week lol. I'm happy, the seller's happy, the Soohorang and Bandabi plushies I ordered are happy. Everyone wins.
Item #2: Ordered on the 28th February. Shipped on the 2nd of March with every buyer's nightmare: registered mail (tracking number RA...KR). Left country on the 7th, same flight number, and is sent to the black hole known as PPC 5940, presumably on the same day. 16 business days and counting with an estimated delivery date of 11 April, as stated by eBay. Starting to lose hope that the black hole will eject my package matter for the CBSA to recompile. Might have a feeling someone or something lumped my package onto the "connecting flight" pile since, from what I heard, China Post regularly sends packages to Canada via Korea in an attempt to get around the backlog but hopefully that's not the case.
Honestly, I should have asked the seller to ship by K-packet, if that's even possible. No idea how much that would cost though and how I would go about paying the extra money. Funny because I paid $2 for shipping on this item while Item #1 threw in free shipping.
Also one question: does anyone have experience using Flexdelivery with registered mail? Since the tracking number is as useless as a crocheted condom, I'm paranoid that there's no email to notify me that my item is available for pickup. I searched around and found no direct answers so I'd like some insight on this matter.
Item #3: Ordered on the 27th March. Shipped with EMS (tracking number EB...KR) on 29th March but just missed the usual KE071 flight. Package was assigned a different flight (AC064) and literally (more on that later) left ICN next day at 16:10 KST. Arrived the same day at 9:29 PDT.
Fun fact: according to FlightAware, apparently the plane didn't arrive at the gate until 9:37 so the package statuses retrieved are exact times that the plane took off and touched down.
My package was later retrieved and cleared by CBSA in a record 27 minutes on Good Friday evening (Jesus died for this). Hopefully it will arrive on Tuesday to my Flexdelivery box..hopefully. I honestly thought I was about to get screwed over again because this time I paid extra for expedited and at this point any package, priority or otherwise, can get sucked into the black hole for weeks (according to previous posters in this thread).
I might be overly obsessed with Soohorang. He and Bandabi are by far the best olympics mascots imo, after Quatchi and Co.
If not then...you still won the jackpot.

What was the first letter of the tracking number? If it starts with L then you just hit the jackpot since that is ePacket and is considered express mail by CP.
If not then...you still won the jackpot.

Averaging about 2 months on each package off of Ali Express. I get my purchase protection extended for free usually but worried about them banning me for overuse even though each case is legit.
If it’s not at least 50% off is it really a deal?

If you mean China Post Register Mail service, I tried to arrange local Canada Post delivery updates by email for such tracking number Flexdelivery, and got this: "You have already entered the maximum number of email addresses (4) for this item.", which is BS. It may be a bug, so check with Canada Post webservices support. Someone reported here notifications at times working with Canada Post Android app even for CN Reg Mail numbers, because they are indeed fully traceable internally. This tracking info is just not published, because CP says "full tracking is not paid for with this service, and as such is not mandatory to publish", which is not really the case - at least delivery event must be published, and therefore email notification of flexdelivery must be sent to the recipient.
When it comes to regular China Post packets (not Registered Mail), they are also internally traceable in Canada by China Post local tracking number (since CP conveyor scanners automatically read any such numbers and enter into tracking DB), but also unpublished. So the same question arises: can we get notified by email when such item is flexdelivered? If not, how can we receive such an item timely, before its returned to the sender or marked undeliverable and disposed of (sold)? Should we call local PO daily to check by the recepient's name, or they will send a postcard?

I blinked several times at the second sentence. :PKimura96 wrote: ↑ Also one question: does anyone have experience using Flexdelivery with registered mail? I've never tried registered mail with Flex... my pharmacy/post office once called me because I accidentally forgot the FlexDelivery address is only for parcels (not mail) and they called me cuz they flagged all my mail going to my Flex address in the system and told me to come get it (otherwise they would've sent it back to sender or destroyed it).
I would think registered mail with Flex would work since you'd still be going to the post office to do pickup anyway? And that you would still get email notifications...

Well, email notifications are part of Flexdelivery offer, and one's email address is linked in CPC DB to his Flexdelivery address. Ideally this means, any Flexdelivery package is auto barcoded on conveyor at 1st CPC sorting plant, and once this barcode is scanned at destination Postal Outlet, CPC server auto notifies the receiver by email. The barcode should not be linked to the package having a publicly traceable number from a foreign postal service or not, because Canada Post added barcode merely identifies it as Flexdelivery package sent to a CP operated or franchised delivery address.
That of course includes international Registered Lettermail especially if it requires Signature, as this is the stated purpose of Flexdelivery Service to provide "2-nd home" for your mail, while you're away at work, and can't sign for it. Basically, the postman will redirect it to the nearby PO anyway if no-one home, so its just an extra convenience for a receiver to select possibly a different address closer to their work. Otherwise the procedure is similar, yet it cuts extra load for local postman since they don't need to attempt delivery, so its more efficient.
The problem is, various CPC franchise like Shopper's PO and their operators tend to misinterpret Flexdelivery rules based on their workload and space availability. If they are really busy, and storage space is jammed (its usually a very small back room), they tend to scare away Flexdelivery customers. In fact they may not get paid by CPC for flexdelivered regular lettermail. And dealing with the operators isn't easy: one can complain to the store owner (who doesn't know PO rules either), or file a complain with CPC CSR, which they'd need to investigate as violation of their franchise contract if multiple complaints are received. But people seldom complain in numbers, so most such reports are ignored. Its like CPC telling you to contact the shipper to file a lost package trace, while knowing most shippers due to large shipping volume would never file a trace on buyer's request. I wonder if anyone was lucky to get back trace results from their Ebay or Aliexpress seller?

Has anyone recently bought something online and got it shipped by USPS Priority?
I recently paid an absurd $40 for a pair of shoes (is it really that expensive now?) and I need em by Sunday.
How long did it take to arrive?

Oh my gosh, guys, you won't believe it...
MY PARCEL CAME TODAY!!!! On Easter Monday! I thought CP workers had the day off today.
A Canada Post employee himself handed it over to me a few minutes ago. I can hardly believe it myself. I thought for sure it'd be stuck in customs until late April or even mid-May.
This is a Singapore Post registered parcel with a tracking number that starts with "RF". I paid $4 for shipping.
My completed timeline (20 days):
2018-04-02 1:39 PM EST Parcel delivered at door!
2018-03-23 15:46 Arrival at Destination
2018-03-21 02:46 CAYVR / Despatched to overseas
2018-03-17 23:00 HK / Hand over to airline.
2018-03-17 19:16 Information Received
2018-03-17 18:49 HONG KONG - HONG KONG / Depart from facility to service provider.
2018-03-16 11:36 HONG KONG - HONG KONG / Shipment arrived at facility and measured
2018-03-16 11:36 HONG KONG - HONG KONG / Fpx pciked up shipment.
