Membership makes people more committed to returning. Plus one single thread makes negligible difference.

Members only and allow users who have contributed to the site as well (i.e. 100 post minimum).

Many lurkers are on here and don't contribute to the member base and that is not right. The whole point of forums is to provide deals and assist others.

First of all, there's no way to make a specific thread member's only. Second, we're philosophically against having member's only content.

In short, not going to happen.
