You can search on Google, but yes I remember reading this maybe two years ago in Macleans. It makes sense...UVic has tons of arts programs, it's not really big into science and engineering (like Waterloo, for example which is a sausage fest). Do you really not notice all the chicks everywhere?

It's funny you mention it though, UVic Engineering has one of the highest male:female ratios of any engineering school in Canada. It's because there's only 3 programs, Mech, Elec, and Comp and those programs are dude magnets. Women usually go into Chem, Env, Civil,...

Yeah honestly when I go to a party and it's roughly a 1:1 ratio, I'm amazed. I'm pretty involved with faculty activities so I guess that only makes sense... But like I said I meet girls on non-engineering related stuff. Engineering stuff is for going out and just having a bloody wickedly ridiculous time out with the friends.

Ryerson ITM is 12:1 girls.... if you can even consider those "things" girls. They are so bad they blend in with the guys.
