Mangosteen

Have anyone seen fresh mangosteen recently? I saw some at t & t, but the leaves are brown and dried, which means they're not fresh. Checked foody mart and another one that I don't remember the name, but didn't see any.

We're leaving in 2 days, and hope to enjoy some before we leave. We only have frozen ones, which I don't buy.

I agree. Best bet is ChinaTown on Spadina.
At least one vendor will have it for sure.
I know many Asian stores carry it as well but have not seen it in any flyers I've read.
I know for sure I saw it at Jian Hing at Jane and Finch two weeks ago for $5 or $6 per lb.
There is another store between Finch and Steeles on Jane called Smartchoice that usually carries such fruits but can't say for sure if they gots any.
Actually Btrust at Keele and Wilson and in sauga has them on sale this week for $4.88/lb.
Good price on Lychee too at $2.68/lb.

We're from Chicago. We checked out several places, but didn't see any fresh ones. We went to Chinatown yesterday, but didn't see any.

Foodymart at hwy 7 and warden has it, but it was expensive at $7/lb.

Are they fresh? I don't mind paying $7 per lb if they're fresh. I might go now since we're leaving in the morning. I'm at t & t woodbine. They're tiny and not very fresh.

I think they looked fresh but I wasn't looking that carefully. There is a foodymart location at steeles and warden (more south than tnt)

Spadina China town? There is a exotic fruit market on the west side of spadina. Slightly north of dundas.

One thing that makes me lol.. Is the GIGANTIC hairy lychee. Very delicious though.

No such thing as a hairy lychee. I assume you're referring to the Ranbutan Fruit. Image

dragon fruit is good for you but rather bland in taste. Its like kiwi but without any distinctive taste.
