No....it appears you can either mail in a void cheque to them or link your external account through the mobile app by taking a pic of it and sending it in or they say they will link your first deposit if you deposit via their mobile app. There does not appear to be any other way that I could see
After the link is set up can you push/pull money out/in of Manulife?

If I'm reading this correctly, the bonus interest of 1.85% will be paid for 182 days from account opening, when added with the regular rate, it's 3.35% in total. The maximum amount earning the promotional interest rate is $500,000, anything excessive will earn 1.50%. There are no fees if balance is over $1,000 and I can push/pull from other banks. There are no fees on stuff like deposits, ATM withdraws, Interac E-transfers, etc over $1,000 in balance and I'm under no obligation to stay under a certain amount of time.

I just opened an account and when i go into the account details I get:

Interest rate 1.500%
Promotional rate 1.850%
Promotion end date October 26, 2019
Opened date April 27, 2019

To move money from Tangerine Savings I guess it will require a push from Tangerine as there are not Void Cheques from Tangerine?

Thanks for the summary @IEpicDestroyer - would that imply that the promo interest will be paid out on what's been in the account until the end of the promo period OR would they prorate the deposit amount for whatever the amount of days we keep the cash there but only pay it out at the end of the promo period?

I saw this in the T&C:

The Promotional Interest will be calculated daily and paid monthly beginning on the date of application and continuing 182days (“Promotional Period”) on Eligible Deposits made during the Promotional Period. Any withdrawals from the Eligible Account during the Promotional Period will be subtracted from the Eligible Deposit balance.

Basically, interest calculated daily on the account balance and paid on a monthly basis until 182 days are up.

2 soft pull from Equifax. No hard pull.

2019-04-19 AUTH MANULIFE BANK (877)765-2265
2019-04-19 THE MANUFACTURERS (877)765-2265

Also to add another data point, according to their rep, the first deposit will have 1 week hold, no matter how you do that, even EMT and direct deposit. So be aware and not to "freeze" all your money.

Manulife has market cap of $51B and their stocks are traded on both TSX & NYSE. Its current market cap is even slightly bigger than CIBC so I would say it's pretty safe
