[Mark's] All Clearance BOGO 75% off

I saw an ad in my newspaper that Mark's has BOGO 75% off on all their clearance items. I was trying adding some items in the cart and confirmed this works with shoes, clothing, jackets.
Some good deals on Helly Hansen and Adidas stuff.

The 75% off is great, but their actual clearance prices are crap.

How come the 10% newsletter signup doesn't work? I signed up 2 hours ago and I still haven't received the coupon.

Either you've already received a 10% discount registered with that email address or you just need to wait a bit more.

Is it buy 1 (at the not-so-great) clearance price, get 1 (not free, but) 75% off?

I wish Mark's definition of clearance prices was better. If a clearance item was already 75% off, and the next clearance item was an additional 75% off that clearance price, then it would be great.

But a clearance item that is 15% off $49. 99 (or $42.50) then the 2nd is $12.50, both items would be averged about 45% off each item.

So, I call this a 45% off sale when you buy 2 items in the end of season (limited sizes, limited colours) section. And if your 2nd item is less than your 1st item, your savings averages closer to about 40% off each. The condition of "equal or lesser value" reduces your savings.

I'd expect 1/2 price and not having to buy 2 items to get it. Good advertising Mark's! If it was a deal on nonclearance items, I'd line up for that!

If you can get an additional 10% off and it's stuff you need, sweet deal.

Also note that if you are buying a variety of items, the 50% off is only applied to the cheapest items, so if I have 2 pairs of socks at $5 each and two pairs of pants at $30 each, I'm only getting 75% off the two pairs of socks. So if you're looking to do online orders you have to do them one at a time, so shipping kills the deal.

The first item is whatever the Clearance price is and the 2nd item is take an ADDITIONAL 75% off the Clearance item. So if you bought 2 pairs of jeans that were reg $100 and on Clearance for $50, the first pair would be $50 and the 2nd would be $12.50. Not a bad deal in my opinion...

Except for the fact that the clearance prices aren't very good to begin with. There's also nothing I found that I'd actually wear so there's that, too.

Their clearance is only 20% off while other stores usually offer 50% off or even more.

Craps! I ordered some pants last week with the BOGO. I ordered pants with the same waist sizes.

When I picked up the order everything looked fine. I tried them at home and one of the pants seemed awfully loose. The pants all had the same tag sizes but when I looked at the size label sewn into the pants the actual size was 2 sizes larger. Going to have to return the fricking pants now. Lesson learned make sure you double check the sizes. Crying Face
