48 reviews in on RT - 100% score so far. No, I don't base my movie watching on RT.

6.7/10 on IMDB? Seems to disagree with all the reviews, and I usually trust IMDB more.

I'm pretty sure I read an article that said RT would delete negative reviews due to "racism". Take it for what it's worth...

Isn't IMDB's rating system user based?

There is usually a gap between critic-based scores and "user" ones which can swing in either direction.

Standard(?) Marvel ... 2 bits (Jesus googling does indeed spoil one of them)

According to the Wrap there's a mid credits and then one at the very end

It's pretty interesting to see a blockbuster movie coming out in February. Movie companies seem to release most of the big movies in the spring (late march until early July) and in the falls (november/december). Given the lack of competition at this time of year, and the interest in the movie, it could really steam roll the box office.

Need a lot of money to create an authentic Wakanda...

Why Marvel Studios Spent So Much Money On Black Panther
https://www.cinemablend.com/news/231102 ... ck-panther
There's an adage which states that one must spend money to make money. While there's certainly an argument to be had over how much that applies to various industries, it sounds like that's something the folks at Marvel have taken to heart recently with Black Panther, as the film's budget apparently eclipsed budgets of several other recent Marvel projects. In fact, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently opened up and explained that the studio was comfortable investing so much money in Black Panther because it understands how important it is for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It is up to 7.0 now, but IMDB system has to be take with a grain of salt, especially this early in the movie's release. They use a weighted average based on a secret formula. The actual average currently is 7.3. The distribution of ratings is crazy:

17,259 votes
9027 rated it a 10
3649 rated it a 1

Seeing this on a Friday matinee, even though I've grown very tired of comicbook movies.
I'm hoping that Coogler can change it up and appeal to adults looking for some depth and originality instead of one-liners and CGI diarrhea.
