MAT135 and PHY131/132 Textbooks
I heard that the textbooks required for MAT135 and PHY131/132 Textbooks are "subpar" and unnecessary. Even the cheap schaum outline books can replace them. Is this true?

I just heard that the books don't offer good explanations or prac questions. Do you know any other alternative books for the courses?
THANKS

the mat135 textbook is decent but basically like most math books. the questions are generally good for practice to understand the concepts, but some of the test questions are a lot more difficult.
The physics textbook is useful to help solve some problems but generally the questions (to me) were not DIRECTLY helpful for test problems. The textbook helped to answer MasteringPhysics questions (hwk online), which in turn were similar to questions on the test._______________
