Stay far away from Prima. The lcd have big time problems and they have zero customer service:

Maynards 40" LCD TV $549
Not the greatest brand names (Prima) but some of the prices are great.
I saw some of the smaller lcd tv for around $180 and 50" plasma for around $800. Maynards

The prices look good, but given that this is all Prima stuff, and an ad that states "as is, where is" it sounds like a recipe for a whole lotta trouble.

Ummm. Caveat Emptor.
That blog post has collected hundreds of comments from people who have had problems with the poor quality of Prima made TVs.
I'd imagine the manufacturer died under the weight of returns. Poor quality never pays.

Dropped by for a quick look today. I'd stay away as the stuff looked like older models and visually they did not look too pleasing. "As is" for a 50 inch no name out of business Plasma for $900 + taxes? No thanks!
32 inch LCD's are $399. Costco has a 32 inch Sanyo with a full Costco warranty that is a much better brand and warranty for $39 more ($439). Also check out Tigerdirect.ca before going to this junk sale as they have some 32 inch sets around the $400 mark. Buyer beware.Last edited by consumerPI; Jul 25th, 2009 at 11:15 AM.
