LOL, nice try Tim.
I love how the Cons always insist that liberals are engaging in "class-warfare" yet we hear utter non-sense from the scumbags on Council that make this out to be a downtown vs. suburban issue. What is downtown Toronto gaining from either plan? 0KM of rail. There was even an amendment motion (that failed) by Norm Kelly to not allow any further debates/studies on the possibility of a DRL. Suburban dwellers love to be subsidized by areas with higher density, talk about a culture of entitlement.

Eglinton as an LRT makes a lot of sense, because the master plan originally called for it to go much further on both ends. They planned LRT to go through Malvern on the east end and to the airport on the west end, and above ground LRT is really the only way either of those routes will ever be completed.
It is crazy that Ford is saying that Scarborough is being short changed here when the transit city plan has way more rapid transit planned for Scarborough. All he has offered them is to bury the same stretch of LRT that they would have been getting anyways, and a pipe dream about a subway with no plan on how to pay for it.

He's playing the caring populist card and failing miserably. Just like Mammoliti who wants to re-direct all funds from his own ward to pay for Eglinton in Scarborough, while giving his constituents a carrot to nibble on - we'll build a subway on Finch one day!
I'd love to see him lose in 2014.

We will never get rid of guys like Mammoliti. All he cares about is power, and he will change anything about himself to get it. Looking at him now, who could possibly believe that he was a NDP MPP in the 1990's? Do you remember the days when he was a staunch enemy of anyone who dared challenge unions?
Do you remember the days when he was pretty much a sworn enemy of Rob Ford, filing human rights complaints against him.
This guy has completely changed his face numerous times, he will keep doing so to whatever he thinks will get him the most power.

Good thing I don't live in Toronto anymore. If the LRT is going to be separated from the main road used by cars, then it is fine. If they are planning on putting the LRT right in the middle of the road, like street cars, then I am disappoint. Can't imagine the rage people driving there.

Yet here you are, banging your head against the wall even though they already voted.
Give it up bro, like I said, your posts here were a good try, but the facts and evidence just aren't on your side._______________
