Maytag dryer needs repairs

My dryer is overheating and shutting off mid-cycle.

Need a recommendation for a repair person in the Toronto area if anyone has one.

SW corner of the cou…
Unplug it, move it out and clean out the duct. Good chance it's clogged.
Almost too cheap to shop through RFD

Yea, I see lots of lint but I'm not willing to open up the unit to get to it :( I watched a video on youtube and you have to take off the top and the front of the machine to get to where all the lint is collected

I also think I heard a grinding noise as well

You won't get electrocuted ... if you unplug it first.

The very first place to check is the vent outside. Many vents have a grill over the opening to prevent small animals and birds from going inside. Even though the grill has large openings, they can be totally blocked by lint. You can use your fingers to pull the lint out

Thanks, I'll look at the vent when I get a chance

If be more inclined to go by mass Google or Yelp reviews of a service than that of a few people on RFD's myself ... most of us are cheap $%$@$!$ and would attempt to do the work ourselves first to save paying money.

Another thing, is it GAS or ELECTRIC?

Electric
Ok, just anytime you move a Gas dryer, you need to be careful of the gas line, especially if it is still copper tubing.
