Mazda Cx5

Thinking about trading my 2010 Mazda 3 GS model for the Mazda CX5 GT.

Does anyone own a CX5?
Is it worth trading it in for the CX5?
Reviews and thought about the car?
Is it better performance?
Killer in looks?

I'm so glad you started a new thread for the Cx5 since we didn't have any:

To be fair, not much discussion on the 2014 version with the bigger 2.5L engine. This move to add engine from the new 6 is a game changer since the 2013 with the base was widely considered as underpowered and probably hurt their sales.

There isn't a lot of reviews yet on the GT and I don't think the cars are available at the dealer yet so information would be coming.

What we know now is, Consumer Report has added the CX-5 into their "Recommended" list and Mazda was rated as one of their top brand in their 2012 car issue since most of their lastest model showed improvements and are rated very high on the CR survey.

The last CX-5 won the 2012-2013 Japan Car of the Year. Info here - http://wot.motortrend.com/2014-mazda-cx ... z2Iuop7ZJa

However, if you want straightly preformance over your 3, than the new sedan like the 6 is a better choice. If you need the room too than CX-5 but I think it isn't fair to compare it to the 3.

If you want a non luxury SUV with kicking acceleration than it would be the Subaru Forester XT with new 2.0L Boxer turbo GDI, 250 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, 0-60 mph in 6.2 sec.

CR-X is for sure one of the better looking SUV out there now.

Instead of dicking us around they should have brought the diesel option instead of that 'upgraded' 2.5L for the CX5. The entire world has it so why not us!!

They are similar but yet opposite.

Both should be reliable, simliar priced, fuel efficent and getting great reviews.

The Mazda seems to have better styling inside out, but the Forester is more of the U in SUV, especially with the X-Mode option.

To lease the cx5 GT for $500 monthly on a 48 term sounds reasonable or overly priced?

cx5 is nice. look at 2013 with 2.0 engine when the 2014 2.5 comes out next month. might get a good deal
