Ok both ways work but what are the pros/cons of each method? Any experiences?

What is with the OP??
0/15 or 0/10??
Title says 0/10 but there are a few codes in the op saying 0/15 and then a bracket (DOESN'T WORK), and then some other codes saying 0/15 that don't say "DOESNT WORK", so DO THEY WORK OR NOT?
If they do, then why is the thread renamed to 0/10??

Just to clarify, so I understand.
I have never applied for this deal. If I apply and get approved for say, $10,000, but don't have a balance to transfer - Once I have the card I can do a cash advance (slightly less than $10,000 to avoid going over the limit) and get charged the 1% fee
Wondering how to access whatever money is approved to use with 0% interest for 10 months.
Also, may be a stupid question, but I've never done a cash advance on a credit card before. Is that done at a branch? (can't see taking say $5000 or $10000 from an ABM).
Thanks

Can you please direct me to that? On the link on page 1:
To be charged on the day the transaction or event occurs:
Transaction Fees
Wire transfer: 1% of wire purchase amount (minimum fee of $7.50)
Balance transfer: 1% of amount advanced (minimum fee $7.50)
Access cheque or deposit: 1% of amount advanced (minimum fee $7.50)
Cash advance: 1% of amount advanced (minimum fee $7.50)
Same 1% fee as a balance transfer.
Balance transfers: 0% for your first 10 billing cycles.
Access cheques and deposits: 0% for your first 10 billing cycles.
So if I use an access cheque, as angel_wing said (i assume included with the card), the same 0% applies.
Let me know if I am misunderstanding this

as i said above, calling in or using the access cheques (WITH THE PROMO CODES ON THE CHEQUES else you will get dinged badly) will get u the 0% for 10 months. However, it is much better to call in because it is very likely your bank will hold a portion of the money for X days base on your holding policy with them. While calling in you may have to wait 1-2 business days, but once the money is in the account, you can do whatever u want with it. Of course, if your bank wont hold any amount of your deposits, it will be better to go the cheque route.

I just paid off my MBNA gold credit card today that had a balance of $11,000 (@ 1.99% promo on that balance expiring next week). I have no other debts besides my mortgage which is in good standing.
I have excellent credit rating (around 800 on both), how long should I wait to phone MBNA to get the 10 month 0%?
Will they give me a new card and nuke my gold card? Not sure exactly how this works.
thanks.
