Heres a good question. How many cards will MBNA allow you to have? I need to get this card again, but I currently have four cards with them (all no balance in good standing).

as many as u can as long as u have adequate credit limit. Let's say u have a 20k credit limit, u can either have one card with a cl of 20k or 10 cards at 2k limit each.

seems they are more concerned with the aggregate credit amount than the number of cards

Platinum Card
hey guys, just wanted to mention something about the CGVL Platinum MC promo code.
just as I was about to submit, I noticed that the BT fee is 3%, not 1%. I tried with the Gold promo, and the fee was listed at 1%.
not sure if its changed, or if that was pointed out in the old thread...hope it helps

1% of your balance. Eg: You will be charged $150 per month for a BT of $15000.
My promo is ending Dec 6, so I just started moving funds around to pay offf my balance by then, and throughout the last 15 months I only paid $10 minimum, so where is this "1%" coming from? When did it go into affect? Does it affect all the 3 promo codes you posted above?
If we are now paying 1% fee up front (rather than 0.5%), and paying back cash at a much faster rate (1% opposed to $10), then I will have to reconsider getting this for another 15months, suddenly it doesn't look so good.

If this thread is for the 12month or 15month, yet all you;ve posted is:
Current codes:
CG4H Gold MC - 0% for 15 months
CG4G Platinum MC - 0% for 15 months
CGVL Platinum MC - 0% for 15 months
Can I assume that 1 of the last 2 is a typo on your part and is actually 12months?

"Transaction Fees You will be charged the greater of $7.50, or a fee equal to 3% of the total amount of the transaction for each of the following: Balance Transfers (including Cheque Cash Advances); Cash Advances; the purchase of Cash Equivalents; and if you make a Wire Transfer Purchase. "
Good one. So that is the difference! i better update the op then!

So what should I do if I want to change my spg card to this one? Just apply for the new card and then transfer the credit?

Hi Angel wing,
I have 2 MBNA cards, one with low limit ($2500) and low rate and the other is a platinum that I used with 0/15 month promo, now this one is due next month and I am going to pay it off to re-apply, should I also pay off the 2500 one?
Thanks

Any idea about how MBNA decides about the credit limit.
Should be a formula or something...
Last year for a $670000 salary they were offering max. $10000
