sorry, i forgot. is the max rebate i can get $600 or the max spending for 5% rebate $600?

2nd one, max rebate u can get for a month is $30 (5% of $600) during the promo. ($18 afterwards) For the other stuff (1%) there is no cap.

so every $50 they send a check, is there any way to have them just take the $50 away from your credit card bill? Checks are a pain, about the only time I'd actually have to physically go to a bank (yay for online banking)

call them and request that. I told them not to send me a cheque until I request it.

applied on May 4th as a new customer, according to CSR, my card "released" on Monday, May 11th, received on Friday, May 15th.

my smart cash card was converted from gold. today i got the statement and found out that the purchasing rate is still 17.99%, not 13.99% as promised. but who cares.

I just applied for a MBNA Platinum Plus MC two days ago (pre-approved), not this Smart Cash card directly since I'm a student.
When do you think I could switch from the Platinum plus card to this Smart cash card after I got it? Any condition?
How long do you think this promotion is over? I hope I was not too late for this.
But I need a new credit card anyway.
