No, you can't pay a credit card bill with another credit card. But you can transfer the balance, but interest will immediately apply to the balance.

this is correct from what I understand, the 600 dollars max/month is only limited to the 5% promotion or 3% regular rate, rebates beyond that point is only calculated as 1% and there seems to be no limit on how much cash back you can rack up under 1%

You could probably do this, but it will count as a cash advance rather than a purchase. Meaning you'll pay a fee, you'll have no interest free period, and you won't accrue any cashback. So I wouldn't recommend this.

The way MBNA determines what is considered grocery stores or supermarkets is based on the MCC that each store has registered with MC. I found this list that basically outlines the stores included in MCC # 5411. Even though it's from the Scotiabank website and refers to the Momentum card, it is Mastercard that essentially defines it. The code describes the stores primary business and is subject to change by the merchant. Shoppers Drug Mart, Wal-Mart and Costco are definitely NOT in this category.

Thanks for the list. Based on what someone else said about merchant codes, I think this list is likely correct.

Hmm, I tried calling 1.888.876.6262 at 4:30 PM, but I was then transferred to another line somewhere in India regarding applications for mastercards. The agent I spoke with didn't recognize the name "Smart Cash Mastercard" nor the promo code "CGLE." Instead, she referred me to call the number 1.888.876.6262.

MBNA approved me a few months ago for a Premier Rewards that had 150% of the limit of my Scene Visa. I just had to call in to request to upgrade to platinum plus.

Thanks for your input, I ask because this is a platinum card right? So i'm assuming they will require you to have at least 20k income? Is there any university students who have no affiliation with MBNA at all get approved?

When you start off applying as a student, they'll give you the vanilla Preferred MC. I applied 2 years back and put zero as my income and I got a $1,000 limit. MBNA is really easy to get $1,000 limit from as a student.
You then have to call to switch to Platinum Plus. It's a stupid system but that's how I got my PP+ Premier Rewards, which is now the PP+ Smart Cash.
