were you on a reward card before? mine was the plain platinum without any reward...
basically they listed 3 scenarios
- new customer, starting with smart cash
- old costomer, convert from non-reward program
- old customer, convert from reward program
it's so complicated in their way of writing!

the premier rewards card doesn't do that.
mbna can put the money on your credit card electronically in their building with some button presses.
they don't need to pay for letters, paper, ink, or a company to contract the paperwork to. mbna is paying MONEY to mail these cheques. they are doing it because they're making money from it somehow. a ghost didn't walk into mbna and compel them to start mailing cheques. there is a reason. the reason benefits mbna, not you.

yes i know, i used to have that card. You get a yearly credit.
Ok, which doesnt mean it's a SCAM. As long as i m getting money back per the terms listed, which is 5% for groceries/gas for the first 6 months, i couldnt care less on how they do it (as long as it's legit of cuz). It's only a scam if we are not getting the money.

You still benefit anyway by having the cashback given to you once you hit $50.
Other "electronic" cashback cards generally dispense once a year.

yeah I'm still waiting for my July cheque too
I wonder if the number of applications has been steadily increasing and they are slowing down on sending out the cheques.
Mailing out the cheques is definately a downside of this card, if it was just put back on the account it would be so much better. Sending out physical cheques just adds too many variables.....the third party issuing them, canada post mailing them (or losing them more accurately). Not to mention having to go into the bank to cash it, these cheques are the only reason I have to go into a bank branch these days

This is a short story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about this, because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.
Which Person are YOU!!!
